A brass photo-etched basic detail set in 1:35 scale from Voyager Model. The set is meant for the German Panther Ausf.G medium tank of the Second World War and serves to refine and raise the detail of the Tamiya 35176 plastic kit. It is not a kit of the vehicle but an accessory, a detail set that replaces or adds to selected plastic parts with fine photo-etched items. It holds fenders, grilles, tie-down loops, lifting eyes and other fine sheet parts.
The Panther Ausf.G was the late production version of the German Panther medium tank of the Second World War. It combined strongly sloped armor, the long 75mm KwK 42 L/70 gun with excellent penetrating power and reworked details of the hull. It is among the best known German tanks of the end of the war.
Carefully separate the photo-etched parts from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface and clean up the edges. Use a photo-etch bending tool or a metal ruler for the bends, so as to get sharp, straight edges. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue, remove the excess and degrease the joints before spraying. It is best to spray the brass with a primer for better adhesion of the coats that follow.
The photo-etched accessory calls for a matching plastic kit in 1:35 scale, which is not included in the package. Glue, paints and the model itself are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
