Posted-up posters appeared on the walls of buildings, on posts, on wooden gates, on notice boards and on the fences around public spaces. In a scene it proves itself to place them in the places the viewer's gaze passes through and to respect the logic of the setting: a poster belongs where people moved about, not on a remote wall behind a vehicle.
Glue with a thin layer of PVA or matte glue applied to the undercoat, not to the paper. With rough render or concrete, dampen the paper lightly from the back and press it down with a soft brush, so that it follows the texture of the undercoat and no flat impression is left on it. Onto a post or a curved surface, glue the motif from the center toward the edges and, if need be, nick it from one side, so that no crease forms.
Once it has dried out, spray with a weak layer of matte clear coat, which unifies the sheen and protects the printing. Only then work with washes and pigments: a thinned wash into the edges will suggest weathering, vertical strokes the traces of rain, and a fine dusting with pigment brings the color in line with the surrounding scene.
The motifs are historical reproductions intended to achieve period believability. Neither the content of the posters nor their texts is commented on or translated; the product is offered purely as a scenic accessory for modeling.
