This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Chinese Type 039G diesel-electric attack submarine of the Song class as a full-hull version. The model is intended to be built on a stand.
Type 039 (NATO reporting name Song class) is a diesel-electric submarine of the PLA Navy. It entered service from the mid-1990s, and the upgraded 039G version carries anti-ship guided missiles and represents one of the first modern home-grown designs of the Chinese fleet.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement, fill the parting seams of the hull with putty and sand them carefully smooth. A primer and an airbrush coat are recommended; on a submarine, a clean division between the upper and lower hull colors and fine weathering stand out. A stand for display is usually included.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
