A set of twelve turned brass barrels of 76.2 mm caliber in the 3-inch form with a barrel 50 calibers long, in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the plastic gun barrels on models of US Navy ships.
The gun of 76.2 mm caliber in the 3-inch form with a barrel 50 calibers long was a dual-purpose weapon of the US Navy used against surface and air targets alike. It was carried by a broad range of smaller and escort vessels, and in the later period by a number of other ships as well.
The turned barrels have a truer profile of the muzzle than plastic and stand up to handling better. Cut the plastic barrels off, clean up the openings, degrease the brass and fit it with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting it is worth laying a primer under the metal.
This is a metal detail accessory. The model of the ship itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
