Aber 1:350 – 16 barrels of 20 mm for the German Flakvierling 38 with shields is a detail set of turned metal barrels of anti-aircraft guns with shields for models of ships in 1:350 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains 16 turned metal barrels of 20 mm caliber for the quadruple anti-aircraft Flakvierling 38 mounts, completed with shields. It serves to replace the plastic parts on models of German ships in 1:350 scale. It is not a model of a ship but an accessory to a kit you already own. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a specialist in turned and photo-etched metal details.
The Flakvierling 38 was a quadruple 20 mm anti-aircraft gun widely used on land and on the decks of ships alike. The four barrels gave a high rate of fire against low-flying targets, and the shield protected the crew.
Cut the turned barrels off the leftover stub, clean them up and fit them, together with the shields, in place of the plastic parts. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for gluing. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer.
This is a supplementary turned set, not a model in itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
