The package contains twenty finely turned metal barrels of 20 mm caliber in the L/65 C/38 form. The metal barrels replace the tiny and easily broken plastic parts of the anti-aircraft guns and give a model a sharp, faithful look. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of a whole ship.
The light anti-aircraft gun of 20 mm caliber, the C/38, was among the most widespread close-defense weapons of the Kriegsmarine. It was fitted in single and in multiple mounts on a broad range of vessels from destroyers to battleships and served against low-flying aircraft.
Separate and clean up the tiny barrels carefully, then degrease the metal before painting and go over it with a primer. Given the small size of the parts we recommend an airbrush and fine shades of naval gray.
The set is an accessory, not a model of a ship. It is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
