A set of twenty turned brass barrels of 20 mm caliber of the MG C/30 type, 65 calibers long, in 1:350 scale from the Polish maker Aber. It is a metal aftermarket accessory, not a kit. The barrels replace the tiny plastic barrels of the light anti-aircraft guns on models of German warships.
The automatic gun of 20 mm caliber of the MG C/30 type was the basic light anti-aircraft weapon of the Kriegsmarine. It was fitted in single and in multiple mounts and formed the last line of the close defense of ships against aircraft.
The finest barrels on a model are all but impossible to make faithfully in plastic, and they are fragile. The metal replacement is strong and has the right profile. Cut the plastic barrels off, clean up the mating faces, degrease the brass and fit it with cyanoacrylate glue. Before painting it is worth laying a primer under the metal.
This is a metal detail accessory. The model of the ship itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
