A set of 8 turned brass 380 mm barrels for the Richelieu and the Jean Bart (1:350, Aber) for models of French battleships. A metal detail accessory replacing the plastic barrels of the main battery.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set from the Polish maker Aber contains 8 turned brass barrels of 380 mm caliber (the short version) in 1:350 scale for models of the French battleships Richelieu and Jean Bart. It is not a model of a ship but an accurate metal accessory that replaces the plastic barrels of the main battery and gives them a sharp profile and the correct length.
The battleships of the Richelieu class carried eight guns of 380 mm caliber, the Model 1935, arranged unusually in two quadruple turrets in the forward part of the hull. That solution saved on the length of the armored protection. The eight barrels in the set match the complete main battery of one ship.
You cut the plastic barrels off carefully and replace them with the brass ones. Glue the metal with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) and degrease the joint beforehand. We recommend spraying a primer and a shade matching the French naval camouflage of the war period.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
