This product is neither a kit nor a finished model but a photo-etched metal set intended for detailing finished ship models. It replaces coarse plastic ladders, or ladders missing altogether, with fine etched ladders with rungs of the kind that run up the walls of superstructures, funnels and masts on real ships.
The etched ladders are fitted vertically on superstructures, funnels and masts, where a real ship had access ladders. The fine rungs give a model fidelity to scale. The set is suitable for ship models in 1:350 scale.
The ladders are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, measured to length and glued with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is advisable to degrease the metal before painting and spray it with a primer for metal.
It is supplied as a separate photo-etched accessory. Glue, paints and the target model are not included in the package.
