Eduard 1:350 USS CV-10 Yorktown - anti-aircraft guns is a photo-etched set that gives the anti-aircraft armament of a model of the famous aircraft carrier a delicacy that injection-molded plastic cannot offer.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etched set from the Czech firm Eduard is intended for modelers who are building the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown (CV-10) in 1:350 scale and want to lift its anti-aircraft armament. It is not a model in its own right - it is an accessory in finely etched metal that replaces the simplified plastic parts with precise barrels, mountings, shields and other small elements.
The USS Yorktown (CV-10) belonged to the Essex class, the backbone of the American fast carrier task forces in the Pacific. She took her name from the ship lost at the Battle of Midway and from 1943 took part in a series of operations until the end of the war. The numerous light anti-aircraft armament scattered over the galleries and sponsons completes the characteristic silhouette of the ships of this class and in a small scale is crucial for the overall impression.
With ship photo-etch, work patiently: separate the parts with a scalpel on a hard surface, bend them along the score lines with tweezers or a bender and glue them with the smallest possible amount of super glue. We recommend spraying the assembled guns separately and fitting them to the model among the last steps of the build, so that they are not damaged.
This is an accessory - the ship kit itself is not included in the package.
