A set of precisely turned metal barrels for a model of the Russian cruiser Varyag in 1:350 scale from RB model. It is not a ship model but an aftermarket accessory that replaces the plastic barrels with sharper and straighter metal parts. The turned barrels have cleanly drilled muzzles and a truer profile than injection-molded plastic.
The Varyag was a Russian protected cruiser of the early 20th century, known from an engagement at the start of the Russo-Japanese War. She carried medium-caliber artillery distributed about the deck and the superstructure. Precisely turned metal barrels bring out the look of the armament and remove the shortcomings of plastic parts, such as parting lines or a bend.
Separate the metal barrels carefully, clean up the base and fit them in place of the plastic parts. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the surface before painting and apply a primer suitable for metal.
This is an aftermarket metal accessory (turned barrels). The ship model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
