Hexagonal hose end fittings from the Japanese brand Top Studio, 2.0 mm in diameter, in a version with a tapered body. It is neither a kit nor a model but a set of small detail parts that a modeler fits to the lines of a model under construction. The figure in the name is the diameter of the part, not the scale, so the set is not tied to one particular kit.
Two millimeters is the largest size offered in this line, which starts at 1.0 mm. Fittings of this size therefore aim at heavy lines in the large scales: fuel and oil feeds on the engine block, coolant hoses, charge air connections or the main lines of the brake system. On thin runs in an interior or on small details in the smaller scales they are unnecessarily bulky; there you should reach for the smaller diameters of the same line.
Top Studio offers the same diameters in several shapes: a straight fitting, a tapered one and a flared one. The tapered shape imitates a ferrule that narrows smoothly from the hexagon toward the hose. It looks natural wherever the hose enters the fitting at an angle or wherever the joint is seen close up, for example in an open engine bay. Choose according to what the real machine has, not according to what happens to be at hand.
The fittings slide onto modeling tubing of the matching diameter. Cut the tubing beforehand with a sharp scalpel to a clean, square end, as an angled end goes into a fitting badly. Secure the joint with a tiny drop of super glue applied with a wire rather than straight from the bottle. Painting is possible after degreasing and priming; shades of aluminum, brass or anodized colors are the usual choices.
