The set holds six miniature injection-molded models of the Walrus amphibious observation aircraft in 1:350 scale. It serves as an accessory to a warship model - you can place the aircraft on the catapult or on the deck. Decals with period markings are included.
The Supermarine Walrus was a single-engine amphibious biplane with a boat hull and a pusher propeller. During the Second World War it served as an observation, reconnaissance and rescue aircraft, launched by catapult from battleships and cruisers. It was known for its ability to land on and take off from the water.
The struts of the biplane and the pusher propeller are very fine in this scale, so work with tweezers and liquid cement for plastic. For the period finish, naval gray and blue-gray camouflage schemes work well. It is practical to paint the models while still on the sprue and to place them on the ship only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
