The kit captures the small anti-submarine patrol vessel PSK BG-50 of the Pauk class in 1:400 scale. The model from the Polish manufacturer Mirage Hobby comes as a set of injection-molded plastic parts to be glued and painted, together with a decal sheet. It is a smaller but well detailed model of a modern patrol craft.
The vessels of the Pauk class are small patrol and anti-submarine ships of Soviet origin that served with other navies as well. They are armed with guns and anti-submarine weapons and are meant for patrolling in coastal waters. PSK BG-50 represents one particular vessel of this type in later service.
The hull is built as a whole; remove the flash from the joints and glue with a thin cement for plastic. Apply a base coat (primer) before painting and spray with an airbrush; small items can be picked out with extra photo-etched parts, which are not included in the package. You can bring the surface to life with a wash into the recesses. The finished model is well suited to being displayed on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
