A collector's model of the Datsun 240Z competition car in its 1972 form with the name of the driver Aaltonen, in 1:43 scale from the production of the publisher Altaya. The model arrives completely assembled, painted and carrying its liveries, so it goes straight into a display case. It is not a kit: nothing is glued, sanded or sprayed.
The Datsun 240Z is a Japanese sports coupe from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s, powered by an inline six-cylinder engine mounted longitudinally at the front and with rear-wheel drive. The combination of a long hood, low weight and rugged mechanicals made it a car that proved itself well in competition, including very demanding long-distance rallies on rough surfaces. Rauno Aaltonen was among the Finnish drivers who represented the brand in the competitions of this era.
A model of 1:43 size has small external features such as the mirrors, the wipers, the antennas and the auxiliary headlights, which break off easily. Always pick it up by the body or by the base, never by these details. Clean the liveries only dry, with a soft brush or a microfiber cloth; damp cloths and preparations containing alcohol can leave them matte or lift them. Choose a display case out of direct sunlight, otherwise the red and orange shades will fade over the years.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a kit and needs neither glue nor paints.
