This model of the Skoda 1202 in van form is a finished collector's piece, not a kit. It is supplied completely assembled, painted and carrying the period lettering of a mobile shop, so it goes straight into a display case. Abrex concentrates on collector's models of Czechoslovak and Czech cars in 1:43 scale, and the utility versions form a separate group in its range.
The Skoda 1202 grew out of the technical basis of the Skoda Octavia and was built in a whole scale of utility bodies. The van version with a fully enclosed box was among the most widespread: it served companies, services and retail, and in the 1960s it was a matter of course on the street. The mobile shop standard is a chapter of its own — a vehicle with a serving window brought goods where the retail network did not reach, and the period lettering made it a type recognizable at first glance. It is precisely such service and retail variants that are among the most sought after in collector's ranges, because in a display case they tell a story a civilian car does not have.
The model is made in 1:43 scale with the series period lettering given in the name. The color and graphic standard is set at the factory, and nothing is added or transferred onto the model.
This is a finished, assembled and painted collector's model intended for display. It is neither a kit nor a children's toy.
