A collector model of the Czechoslovak Skoda 1203 light commercial vehicle in taxi livery from 1974, in 1:43 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Skoda 1203 is a light commercial vehicle of Czechoslovak production that went into series at the end of the 1960s and stayed in service for more than three decades. The box body with a high roof and a large glazed area was built in several forms: as a van, as a minibus for passengers, as an ambulance and as a chassis for bodywork. The vehicle became an ordinary part of the streets, of company yards and of country roads, and that is why those who remember it recognize it at once.
This is a collector model in 1:43 scale, that is in the most widespread collector size for cars. A vehicle just under five meters long comes out at roughly ten centimeters in it, so even a larger collection fits into a display case. The model captures the vehicle in taxi livery as it looked in 1974, at a time when the 1203 was ordinary equipment for municipal enterprises. How finely the vehicle is executed and what moves on it is stated by the manufacturer of the model.
The model belongs in a closed display case, where dust does not settle on it and where direct sunlight does not reach. Direct light will in time draw the color out of the paint and the lettering, especially with the saturated shades of a taxi livery. Clean a dusty model with a soft brush, not with a cloth, which scuffs the lettering. Pick the vehicle up by the roof and the chassis, not by the mirrors, the wipers and other thin elements.
The model is supplied as a finished collector piece. A display case and a base are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
