A collector's model of the Skoda 1203 in the service livery of the Verejna bezpecnost, the uniformed police force of what was then Czechoslovakia, 1:43 scale. A finished model for a display case.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Skoda 1203 was a light utility van in which practically everything was carried about in Czechoslovakia. It was built from the end of the 1960s and its boxy body with sliding doors became an ordinary part of the streets. Besides the panel version there were a minibus, an ambulance and a flatbed, so the same chassis served dozens of trades. It is precisely that versatility that made it a vehicle remembered by everyone who lived through that time.
The Verejna bezpecnost was the uniformed branch of the then National Security Corps and its vehicles carried unmistakable period markings. In the service livery the van comes across quite differently than in the civil version: the color scheme and the lettering make it a striking piece that catches the eye in a display case and suits a period scene with other vehicles of the same scale as well.
For collectors of Czechoslovak vehicles and service cars and for anyone who wants to be reminded of the cars from the streets of the 1970s. The 1:43 scale is the most common one for collector's automobiles, so the model matches the other vehicles in a collection in size.
Sweep the dust off with a soft brush, as a cloth would bend the mirrors and the wipers. Do not stand the model in direct sunlight, otherwise the period colors will fade. A display case and other accessories are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
