A rich red in a gloss finish, listed in the range under the designation C079. The degree of gloss is part of the name of the shade, so once dry the surface stays smooth with no matte haze. On a model this brings out the shape and the flowing surfaces, but it also shows every unevenness of the base.
A pure red with no shift toward brown or orange comes into its own on the bodies of sports and racing cars, on warning markings on vehicles, on the tips of rotor blades, on rescue machines and on small items such as covers and markings. A gloss surface is also the usual preparation for decals, because no air bubbles form under a decal on a smooth area.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before work, as the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint covers unevenly. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio according to the instructions stated by the manufacturer on the packaging and use a thinner intended for this range. Red shades generally cover poorly, so it pays to lay down a light base first and only then spray two or three thin coats, letting each one flash off. Wash and degrease the surface of the model beforehand, otherwise the coat will hold badly. Work in a well-ventilated space and close the bottle carefully after use so that the paint does not thicken.
The package contains the paint on its own. Thinner, cleaner, brushes and spraying equipment are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
