This is not a model but a resin detail set. It adds to an Avia S-199 model the characteristic raised bulges over the synchronized machine guns in the upper part of the engine cowling. It is precisely this feature that helps tell the Czech Avia apart from the basic Messerschmitt and gives the model the right silhouette at the front.
The Avia S-199 (the Mezek) was a postwar Czechoslovak fighter derived from the Bf 109G, fitted with the engine and propeller of the He 111 bomber. Its armament and the sheet-metal paneling over it on the engine cowling differed from the original Messerschmitt, which matters for a faithful model.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the bulges onto the engine cowling with super glue (cyanoacrylate), then fill and sand the transitions lightly so that they run into the plastic.
This is an accessory to a model, not a kit in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
