Avia S-199 Mezek, Part I 1:48 is an AML decal sheet with two schemes of the Czechoslovak postwar fighter Avia S-199 for models in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This decal sheet in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker AML holds two marking options for a model of the Czechoslovak Avia S-199 fighter, nicknamed Mezek, meaning mule. The first part of the series offers the markings of particular machines of the Czechoslovak Air Force. AML is a Czech maker with good registration and a thin carrier film.
The Avia S-199 came about in Czechoslovakia after the Second World War from unfinished Messerschmitt Bf 109 airframes, but with a Jumo engine and a bomber propeller, which earned it the nickname Mezek for its difficult flying characteristics. The machine also made its name as the first fighter of the Israeli Air Force. The set brings authentic Czechoslovak postwar markings including codes and national insignia.
Go over the base with gloss varnish, release the decal in warm water, place it and squeeze the remaining water out with a cloth; use a softener for the detail. Finally, even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss coat.
This is an add-on decal sheet. The model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
