Painting masks in 1:48 scale for the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-7, prepared for the machine with the code S9+FS. They are applied before spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Bf 109 E-7 belongs to the last batch of the so-called Emil, that is of the E version. It differed from the older machines in being able to carry an under-fuselage rack on which a drop tank or a bomb could be hung. Short range had always been a weakness of the Bf 109, and it was the tank under the fuselage that eased it enough for the machine to be usable over more distant targets as well. The set is tied to one particular machine with the code S9+FS.
Painting masks worked up in 1:48 scale for the Bf 109 E-7 and for the machine given. They are cut to shape, so you only pop them out and stick them in place. Which parts of the model the masks cover is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The masks belong on a finished and degreased surface before spraying. Press the edges down carefully so that no paint runs underneath, and spray in several thin layers; one heavy layer will creep under sooner than three light ones. Once it has dried, take the mask off slowly and at an angle to the surface, not straight up, or the paint may come away with it. Cover the surrounding areas with tape or paper as needed.
The model kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
