Responsibility details are not available.
The kit covers the AH-64A attack helicopter in the markings of the Royal Netherlands Air Force, which appears on the box under the abbreviation KLU. It is a classic injection-molded plastic kit from the Polish firm Mistercraft, simply tooled, and therefore a model suited either to a quick build or to filling out a helicopter collection.
The AH-64 Apache is an American attack helicopter with two turboshaft engines, a tandem cockpit and a turret-mounted cannon under the nose. The AH-64A version is the original production form, without the radar above the rotor head. The Netherlands operated the AH-64A on an interim basis in the second half of the 1990s, before newer machines were delivered. That short period is exactly what makes the Dutch Apaches a rewarding and, in a modeling collection, rather exceptional subject.
With simply tooled moldings it pays to go over the mold seams with a file and to dry-fit all the main parts before you reach for the glue. Paint the cockpit and the instrument panels before closing the fuselage. Glue the glazing with a cement intended for clear parts and mask it with tape. Paint the stores and the rotor blades separately and fit them at the end, so that they do not break off during handling. The dark camouflage of helicopters comes out well if you lift it with a light overspray of a lighter shade in the middle of the large surfaces.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
