Decals for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 Trop/G-14 1:48 from HAD models. The sheet covers the tropicalized G-6 version and the later G-14 version in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for models of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-6 version in tropical fit and in the G-14 version. Combining two related versions on one sheet makes it possible to use one package for two different models. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is an accessory in its own right for a model built from a separately sold set.
On the Bf 109 the tropical fit showed above all in a dust filter on the supercharger air intake and in supplementary equipment for working in hot, dusty conditions. The G-14 version came later as an attempt to bring the production changes made so far together into one standard, and it carried revised canopy panels and a taller vertical tail among other things. Both versions were powered by an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz engine of the 605 series.
Finish the model in color first and spray it with gloss clear coat, as a decal will settle without silvering only on a smooth gloss base. Cut the design out close to the printing, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until the film moves freely. A decal softener will draw the film onto the engraved lines and the riveting. With tropical schemes it pays to lay the decals on before the weathering, so that the dust effects run across the markings and the model reads as one piece. Finally seal everything with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The package holds the decal sheet only. The model, paints and varnishes are not included.
