1:24 Mercedes AMG GT3 Team Black Falcon

Mercedes AMG GT3 in the colors of Team Black Falcon, 1:24 scale

A decal set with the race markings of the Mercedes AMG GT3 car entered by the Black Falcon team. It is an accessory for a finished model in 1:24 scale, not a kit of the racing car.

The car and its team

The AMG GT3 is a customer racing car built to the rules of the GT3 category. It is based on a coupe with a long front hood, carries its engine at the front and drives the rear wheels. The aerodynamics rest on a prominent front splitter and a massive rear wing, so the car looks aggressive even standing in a display case. The German team Black Falcon is among the well-known entrants of cars wearing the star, and its name appears regularly on the entry lists of long endurance events. A model with these markings therefore looks like a machine that has just come out of the pits.

How to handle a modern GT livery

• Present-day GT cars carry a great many small logos, so work from the top down.
• Divide extensive sponsor areas along the door and front fender gaps.
• Let the numbers on the roof rest overnight, and only then apply the final coat.
• On the sharp edges of the front splitter a stronger dose of softener helps.

Who the set suits

• Builders of present-day endurance racing cars.
• Supporters of German customer teams and their colors.
• Modelers who put together a whole grid of one category.

The decals are sold on their own, without the model of the car, paints or varnish, unless stated otherwise.
