An aftermarket resin detail set, not a stand-alone kit. The set from LP Models adds a faithfully rendered boarding (access) ladder to the cockpit of F-105G Thunderchief models in 1:48 scale, something that production kits usually do not contain.
A fitted ladder brings a model built as a parked machine to life, as well as a whole diorama scene, and it gives a clue to the scale next to figures. The resin rendering captures the fine rungs and frame that would be difficult to mold in plastic.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove mold release agent. Release the thin rungs from the casting blocks carefully, with a sharp knife; protect your airways while sanding resin. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Hang the ladder at the corresponding place by the cockpit according to documentation of the real aircraft.
