This photo-etched set from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale concentrates on sharpening the ejection seat of the model of the F/A-18C Hornet fighter. It is a modeling accessory, not a kit of an airplane. The pre-printed photo-etched parts replace the simplified elements of the seat, above all the seat belts, the handles and the small fittings, and give it a realistic look.
The set clothes the plastic ejection seat and fills it out with fine details that cannot be injection-molded in plastic at the right thickness. The subject is the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet, an American single-seat carrier-based multirole fighter able to fly air combat as well as strikes against ground targets.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, form the belts and fittings and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The pre-printed colored elements go on without painting; the transitions can be evened out with a matte clear coat.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unapplied. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
