1:48 Instrument panel for the F4F-4 Early from Yahu Models is a finished color part for the cockpit. It replaces the plastic panel from the kit; it is not a kit itself.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for a model of the F4F-4 carrier fighter in its early production form, 1:48 scale. What you get is a finished, factory-colored instrument panel that you simply glue in place of the plastic part from the box. It holds no paints, decals or photo-etched parts to be colored in; the whole point of the product is that the work on the dials has already been done at the factory.
The F4F-4 was a carrier fighter with a round radial engine, a stressed-skin fuselage and a characteristically narrow landing gear retracted into the sides of the fuselage. The fourth version brought folding wings for better use of space on aircraft carriers. The Early designation refers to the early production form, which differs from later examples in details of equipment, and those very differences are reflected in the layout of the instruments in the cockpit.
The panel is neither painted nor varnished over. Try it dry in the fuselage first, because the original plastic part tends to be thicker and its thickness pushes the panel forward. It can be thinned by sanding from behind; on some kits it is cleaner to remove the plastic panel altogether. For gluing, use a minimum of cyanoacrylate gel on the edges. If you want to finish the cockpit off, the frame around the panel can be touched in with a fine brush in the interior color. Leave the dials as they are and, if you like, give them a shine with a drop of clear varnish.
The accessory is supplied finished and in color. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
