This set contains photo-etched metal fenders for a model of the British Sherman Ic Firefly tank in 1:48 scale. It is not a vehicle model but a detailing accessory that replaces the thicker plastic fenders from the kit with thin, more faithful photo-etched parts. The manufacturer is the Czech company AML.
The fenders above the tracks of a tank are among the most visible parts. The photo-etched version has a realistic thickness and lets you suggest bends, dents and missing sections of the kind that came from combat wear. The set is intended for models of the Sherman Firefly in the Ic version.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife, bend them precisely on a photo-etch bending tool or against a ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate. The fenders can be deliberately bent or damaged for effect. Then weather them with a wash and pigments for mud and dust effects.
This is an accessory, not a model. Glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
