The Focke-Wulf Ta 152 was a late development stage of the Fw 190 series. While the versions designated H received a long wing for combat at high altitude, the C series was intended for low and medium altitudes and differed from them in the shape of the forward fuselage as well. Within the series several configurations are distinguished, and the mask covers them: C-0, C-1, the C-1 configuration with the R14 fit, and C-11. On a model in 1:48 scale the landing gear bays are among the places that are clearly visible once the build is complete.
The set contains masks for spraying the landing gear bays of a Ta 152C model in 1:48 scale. The shapes are cut in advance, so cutting masking tape falls away and the edge between the shades comes out sharp along its whole length. Which kit the masks are cut for should be checked against the manufacturer's data on the packaging and in the instructions, because the shape of the bays differs from one manufacturer to another.
The masks belong on the model before spraying, not on paint that has already dried. First clear the surface of dust and degrease it, otherwise the edge of the mask lifts and the paint creeps under. Once laid on, press the mask down along the whole edge with a blunt toothpick. Apply the paint in several thin coats and lead the stream perpendicular to the edge, not at an angle under it. Lift the mask off with a sideways pull before the paint has fully cured, so that the edge of the coat does not flake away with it.
The package contains the masks stated. The kit, the paints and the thinner are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
