A sheet of waterslide decals from SBS Model in 1:48 scale for a model of the Fokker D.XXI fighter with the Twin Wasp engine in Finnish colors. It is not a kit but a decal set for rendering particular Finnish machines.
The Fokker D.XXI was a single-seat fighter aircraft with fixed landing gear. Finland also operated the version with the Pratt & Whitney Twin Wasp radial engine, which differed from the variant with the Mercury engine above all in the shape of the nose. The set holds period Finnish aerial national insignia and the tactical markings of the machines in question.
The decals are waterslide decals (wet decals). Prepare the surface you apply them to to a smooth gloss, ideally overcoat it with a gloss varnish so that the edges do not silver. Dip the decal briefly in lukewarm water, position it on the model, gently squeeze out the water and the air bubbles and let it dry. On broken-up surfaces and on rivets a decal softener helps. Once it has dried, overcoat the whole thing with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
This is an accessory decal set, not a model. The kit of the aircraft itself, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
