GasPatch FuG 202 Radar 1:48 is a 3D-printed resin set of Lichtenstein airborne radar antennas for models of German night fighters of the Second World War.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set reproduces the antenna array of the FuG 202 airborne radar in 1:48 scale. The parts are made by 3D printing from resin with exceptionally fine rendering that neither injection-molded nor photo-etched antennas can capture. The package contains parts for building several complete antenna arrays, so it is enough even for a more demanding conversion or as a reserve when handling the fragile elements.
The FuG 202 Lichtenstein B/C was a German airborne radar used by night fighters in the Second World War. Its characteristic antlers - the four dipole antennas projecting from the nose - were among the typical marks of machines intended for night interception of bombers. It is exactly this antenna array that the set captures faithfully.
The antennas are very thin, so work calmly and with a sharp tool. Wash the parts, separate them carefully from the supporting structures and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint them best with an airbrush in the shade of the surrounding surface of the aircraft; the fine tips take a minimum of paint if they are to stay crisp.
This is an accessory set of antennas, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted, without glue or paints.
