This resin cockpit set brings a finely rendered pilot's compartment for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D fighter in 1:48 scale. It holds a faithfully cast cockpit tub, an instrument panel, a seat and the controls, which replace the simplified kit parts. It is not a standalone airplane model but a detail accessory for one.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, nicknamed Dora, was the high-altitude fighter version of the well-known Fw 190, with a lengthened fuselage and an inverted V12 engine instead of a radial. It was marked by good performance at greater heights and was among the most capable German fighters of the late period of the war.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). A primer undercoat on the cockpit is advisable, then paint it with shading and a dry brush and bring the instrument panel to life by picking out the details. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
