A resin set of armament from the Brassin line of the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory, with which you will arm the plastic kit of a combat aircraft. The set holds two GBU-11 laser-guided bombs together with a sheet of decals; the resin castings offer fine surface details of the guidance as well as the tail section.
The GBU-11 is an American heavy laser-guided bomb from the first generation of the Paveway system, put into action in the period of the Vietnam War. It came about by adding a guidance head and tail control surfaces to heavy aircraft bombs of large caliber, by which the precision of a hit against point targets such as bridges and fortifications was raised markedly.
Wash the resin parts clean of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off and glue them together with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting the bombs before seating them on the racks, applying the decals over a gloss varnish and fixing them with a matte over-coat. Given the size of the bombs, check the load capacity and the placing of the racks on the particular model.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
