AML decals 1:48 German Aces on the Fw 190 A-1/2/3/5 — part I — a Czech decal set with markings of the aircraft of German aces on the early versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the Czech manufacturer AML in 1:48 scale bringing markings of the aircraft flown by German fighter aces on the early versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A, from the A-1 to the A-5. The first part of the line is meant for modelers who want to connect their Focke-Wulf with a particular pilot and story.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 entered the fighting over the English Channel in the autumn of 1941 and came as a shock to the Allied air forces: the BMW 801 radial engine gave it speed, power and toughness that the Spitfire Mk.V of the day could not cope with. The early A-1 to A-5 versions differed above all in armament and in details of the airframe, and it was on them that a number of German pilots on the western front achieved their greatest successes.
The personal emblems and numbers of aces tend to be multi-colored, so apply them on a perfectly smooth gloss base, which brings out the depth of the print. With subjects placed across panel lines use a decal softener and, once dry, cut the line through lightly so that a later wash brings it out as well. Even the whole out at the end with varnish to the degree of sheen you want.
This is a stand-alone decal set; the kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
