This SX-Art set brings clear parts for the optics of the BMPT tank support combat vehicle, known by the nickname Terminator. They replace the plastic periscopes, vision ports and heads of the observation devices, of which this type has a great many thanks to its richly equipped turret. The set is not a kit of the vehicle, it is an accessory for a model in 1:35 scale. The set is intended for the Meng kit.
The more instruments a vehicle carries, the more the difference between glass and painted plastic shows. Injection-molded vision ports blend into the hull once sprayed and the turret loses its relief. Holographic film has a prismatic shine of its own that shifts shade with the viewing angle, so it does not have to be painted and stays prominent on a matted model.
Fit the parts at the end of the build, after spraying, decals and every weathering step. Clean and degrease the openings left by the plastic parts, check the fit dry and only then fix them in place. Use a clear glue for windows that does not haze as it dries; super glue can cloud a clear surface. Wipe dust off with a dry cotton swab.
