Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German reconnaissance aircraft Focke-Wulf Fw 189A-1 in the Sonderaktion Schneekufen form, that is the winter ski conversion, in 1:48 scale from Great Wall Hobby. The box holds injection-molded and clear plastic, photo-etched parts and decals for German markings.
The Fw 189, nicknamed Uhu, was a German twin-engine reconnaissance and observation aircraft with a characteristic twin-boom structure and a glazed crew nacelle. It was deployed mainly on the Eastern Front for tactical reconnaissance and artillery spotting. The Sonderaktion Schneekufen designation refers to the special winter conversion with skis for operation from snow-covered strips.
Because of the extensive glazing of the nacelle, careful masking of the clear parts pays off. Glue with cement for plastic and the photo-etched elements with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting; for winter service a white seasonal camouflage over the standard scheme with realistic wear and panel accentuation is suitable.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
