This resin detail set from SBS Model contains replacement wheels with covered discs in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory with which you replace the plastic wheels in the base kit of the British Gloster Gladiator fighter biplane and gain a truer detail of both the tires and the discs.
The Gloster Gladiator was a British fighter biplane of the 1930s, powered by a Bristol Mercury radial engine. It served with the RAF and with a number of foreign users at the beginning of the Second World War, and it belonged to the last generation of biplane fighters. The covered discs represent one of the period variants of the landing gear.
First wash the resin parts to remove the mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Before painting, apply a primer, paint the tires flat and match the discs to the color scheme of the aircraft.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
