Responsibility details are not available.
A multimedia kit of the single-seat Grunau Baby IIb training glider from the Polish manufacturer FLY, this time in the edition with Polish markings. The set combines injection-molded plastic with resin parts, photo-etched metal and a decal sheet; it is a short-run kit suited rather to more experienced modelers.
The Grunau Baby is a classic single-seat training glider of wooden construction that goes back to a design by Edmund Schneider from the early 1930s. The IIb version was among the most widespread training sailplanes of its day and was used for basic unpowered training in many countries, including postwar service in Poland. A strut-braced high wing with a simple, robust structure is typical of it.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and cut off the casting blocks, then glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Dry-fit the injection-molded parts and fill the joints carefully. The slender surfaces paint well with an airbrush over a fine primer; apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish and seal them with a matte clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
