Eduard 1:48 Hawker Tempest Mk.II landing flaps is a photo-etched brass set of landing flaps for finishing a model of the British fighter faithfully.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched brass set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale focused on the landing flaps. It is not an aircraft model but an exterior detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic flaps with a finely embossed structure. The parts are bare brass and have to be painted before the build.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.II was a British piston-engine fighter of the late Second World War powered by a radial engine. It followed on from the successful Tempest with a liquid-cooled engine and excelled at low and medium altitudes. Detailed landing flaps in the lowered position noticeably enliven the look of a finished model on display.
Clean and paint the brass parts before gluing, ideally after spraying a primer for better paint adhesion. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue; use a photo-etch bender for accurate folds. The flaps can be arranged in the lowered position for a more striking display.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
