About product

Yahu Models He-162 1:48 — color instrument panel

A color, finely etched and laminated instrument panel from the manufacturer Yahu Models in 1:48 scale. It comes practically finished, with faithfully reproduced dials and labels, and it replaces the plastic instrument panel. This is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for advanced modelers.

The real subject

The Heinkel He 162 was a German single-engine jet fighter from the very end of the Second World War, developed in an extremely short time as a cheap light interceptor. Its characteristic feature is the engine mounted on the fuselage spine.

Fitting and tips

Remove or level off the plastic panel and glue the etched part on with cyanoacrylate. The color surface usually only needs to be matted down; painting the instruments is not necessary.

Who it is for

  • Advanced modelers longing for a realistic cockpit
  • Builders of aircraft in 1:48 scale
  • Anyone interested in German jet aircraft

This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.

FAQ

No. This is a color photo-etched instrument panel, that is a detail accessory for the cockpit, not a kit of the whole aircraft.

As a rule no. The surface is already finished in color; matting it down or a light highlight is all that may be needed.

Cyanoacrylate is recommended, onto a cleaned and leveled surface.
