Responsibility details are not available.
A decal set from the Polish maker Toro Model with the markings of the light HMMWV off-road vehicles used by the Polish armed forces. The box holds waterslide decals for a model in 1:48 scale. It is neither a kit nor a finished model; the set serves for marking a model that has to be obtained separately.
The HMMWV is an American light multipurpose off-road vehicle with all-wheel drive that has become a standard with a number of armies. It was built in many versions, from a simple personnel carrier through an ambulance to carriers for weapon stations, and on vehicles deployed outside their home territory add-on armor and extra equipment kept being fitted. That is exactly why their markings differ from one vehicle to the next, so a decal set gives the modeler the chance to build a specific vehicle rather than just a generic type.
Paint the model first and spray it with a gloss clear coat, on which a decal holds without silvering. Cut the motif out close to the edge, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and move it into place once it releases from the backing. Blot off the excess water and use a decal softener so that the motif settles onto the edges, the panel lines and the add-on panels. In the small 1:48 scale the decals are tiny, so work with smooth-jawed tweezers and a wet brush, which will move the motif without tearing it. Once it is dry, varnish the model with a matte coat and add the weathering.
The set holds only decals. A model, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
