A set of ground handling jack stands of the Luftwaffe in 1:48 scale, made by 3D printing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A jack stand is a simple ground support that an aircraft rested on once the mechanics had lifted it off the ground. Without a support there was no working on the landing gear and no testing its retraction, and the machine could not be set into the position needed. That is exactly why stands appear so often in period photographs by hangars and on field sites, even though they are usually missing from models. The set is focused on Luftwaffe equipment.
Parts made by 3D printing in 1:48 scale, intended to be added to a model or a diorama. A printed execution suits precisely the thin beams and struts that otherwise come out needlessly massive.
The parts are held on print supports; cut those off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that a thin strut does not break. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, to remove any print resin residue, as otherwise the paint will adhere poorly. Thin printed parts are more brittle than plastic, so work with them held loosely in the hand and do not press them against a surface. Apply the paint in several thin coats, as a heavy coat rounds off the edges. The particular method is given by the manufacturer's instructions.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
