The Eduard 1:48 Junkers Ju-88C-6b Night Fighter TFace masking set is a pre-cut set of masks for the extensive glazing of the twin-engine Ju-88 in the night fighter version, in a treatment for the outer as well as the inner side.

Pre-cut self-adhesive masks from the Czech maker Eduard. It is not a kit but an accessory to a model. With the Ju-88 the set makes exceptional sense: the forward part of the cockpit is divided into many irregular panes, cutting which by hand takes more time than the whole rest of the build. The TFace treatment covers the glazing from both sides.
The Ju-88C was a twin-engine aircraft derived from the bomber version, modified for night and long-range fighter tasks. The glazed nose was replaced by a solid nose with fixed armament and with instrument equipment for night operations. The rest of the cockpit stayed heavily glazed, though, so a model still has a large number of panes.
With a cockpit as broken up as this it pays to plan the order. First stick the inner masks on and spray the interior color of the frames, then glue the part into the fuselage, mask it from the outside and only then spray the base color and the camouflage. Take the masks off as soon as the last coat has set — dried paint on an edge otherwise peels away along with the tape. Use tweezers for removal and pull at an angle back over themselves, not straight up.
A masking set is an accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package. Before buying, check that the masks match your kit.
