The real subject

The Kh-25 is a family of Soviet air-to-surface guided missiles, from which an anti-radar version designated Kh-25MP also came; for it the NATO reporting name AS-12 is used. Missiles of this kind aim at a transmitting air defense radar, so they belong to the armament of tactical combat aircraft intended for suppressing the defenses. On a model you will recognize them by the slender body with fins and control surfaces in two planes, which is hung under the wing on a pylon.

What the set contains

Building and painting tips

Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest carefully so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Parts that are not made of polystyrene will not be joined by ordinary cement for plastic kits, so reach for cyanoacrylate glue. Hang the armament on only after the aircraft has been finished, as it is then easier to get at the pylons with a brush as well. Choose the shade according to the illustration of the particular machine and bring out the fine edges of the control surfaces with a dry brush.
