A figure of a sailor of the Kriegsmarine in 1:48 scale, conceived into a ceremonial scene by a Type VIIC submarine.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents a sailor of the Kriegsmarine of the Second World War period and is conceived into a ceremonial scene. It belongs to scenes by a Type VIIC submarine, which was the most numerous type of German submarine and remains the most frequent subject for models to this day. The crew is what gives a scene its scale and a human dimension.
The scale is 1:48, so an adult figure stands just under four centimeters tall. At a size like that the cut of the uniform and the posture are clearly visible. The figure can be placed on the deck of a model, in a diorama or on its own on a base. The range includes several items under different codes; the treatment of the particular figure corresponds to the code of this item.
First wash and degrease the figure, so that the paint holds on it. Cut the surplus material and the traces of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the surface down with fine paper. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions. The paint is applied in thin layers; the folds of the cloth are shaded with a darker shade and the raised areas lightened with restraint.
It is intended for builders of submarines and naval vehicles in 1:48 scale and for modelers who want to give their dioramas a story. Even someone painting a figure for the first time can manage it, because the piece is small and a failed attempt can easily be repainted.
The submarine model, a base, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
