1:48 Lockheed F-94A/B is a set of pre-cut masks for the canopy glazing frames from Dead Design. An accessory for a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masks for the canopy glazing of a model in 1:48 scale, cut for the F-94A and F-94B versions. It is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory that replaces laborious masking with tape. The masks are laid on the clear parts, the frame is sprayed over them and they are peeled off once the paint has dried.
The Lockheed F-94 was an American two-seat all-weather interceptor that came about by converting a trainer derived from the F-80 fighter. The A and B versions were the early production variants with afterburning and a radar in the nose. Against the later C version they differed in the shape of the nose, the arrangement of the armament and details of the canopy, which is exactly why a masking set of their own exists for them.
A cockpit frame usually has one color inside and another outside. The simplest procedure is to spray the interior shade over the whole masked canopy first, let it dry and only then move on to the exterior camouflage or natural metal. With a metal surface the order matters twice over: polished metallics are hard to overspray and hard to mask, so they go on last and a mask must not stay on them any longer than necessary.
This is an accessory for a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
