This resin and 3D-printed set contains four LRF-4 rocket pods. It is NOT an airplane model but an external stores accessory meant to enrich plastic kits of jet aircraft. Pods of this type were carried by French machines such as the Mirage F.1, the Mirage 2000 and the Sepecat Jaguar. The set is intended for more experienced modelers used to working with resin.
The LRF-4 is a French rocket pod for unguided aircraft rockets. It is hung on the stores pylons of combat aircraft and serves above all for attacking ground targets. Depending on the carrier type and the mission, the pods were carried in pairs or in greater numbers.
Cut the parts off the casting blocks, wash the mold release residue away and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Do the sanding with respiratory protection. The pods stand out once shaded, given technical stencils and lightly weathered.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
