An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109 fighter in the G-6 version with the R3 and R6 equipment, in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian maker Unimodel. The package contains plastic parts on sprues, a decal sheet and building instructions.
The Bf 109 G-6 was the most numerous version of this fighter and was powered by a Daimler-Benz DB 605 series engine. The Rüstsatz field kits allowed the armament and the equipment to be modified: R3 added a rack under the fuselage for an auxiliary tank, while R6 added gondolas with 20 mm automatic cannon under the wings. This combination strengthened the firepower at the expense of agility.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit, the landing gear and the underwing gondolas with the assembly order in mind. Apply a primer before painting and use a gloss coat for the decals; unify the whole with a matte one at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
