1:48 Mikoyan MiG-19PM LööKplus is a resin accessory package from the Czech maker Eduard for a plastic kit of the MiG-19PM interceptor. It is not a model of an aircraft, but a set of parts that replace parts of the kit.

The LööKplus range from the Czech maker Eduard brings together in one package the LööK resin cockpit set, which includes a pre-painted instrument panel, with further accessories from the Brassin range. The point is to raise the level of detail where it is most visible once the build is finished, and to have the sets together in one box. The exact make-up of the package and the number of parts are given by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the instructions.
The MiG-19PM was the interceptor variant of the first production Soviet supersonic fighter. Unlike the cannon versions it had no gun armament and carried guided anti-aircraft missiles only, for whose use radar equipment in the nose served. It was powered by a pair of jet engines with afterburners, the aircraft had a markedly swept wing and it was built for a rapid climb to altitude. At the turn of the 1950s and 1960s the type was in the armament of a number of European users including the Czechoslovak Air Force.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with dish soap, otherwise mold release agent residue will keep the paint from adhering. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw or a cutting disc and never break them off; when sanding, work with respiratory protection, ideally wet. They are attached with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or epoxy - cement for plastic will not join resin. Keep trying the cockpit dry in the fuselage halves; the walls usually have to be lined up slightly and the internal plastic moldings thinned down. The pre-painted panel is not sprayed over, only carefully seated; spray the surrounding areas with an airbrush, pick the recesses out with a thin wash and the edges with a dry brush.
This is an accessory set, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
